Free Poem # 3

Borders bookshop.  Saturday arvo.  A spare chair near the coffee lounge.  What to write? "Borders".  Lots of potential with that theme.  'Free Poem #3' written.  The thing is, you write one interesting line, but there's no time for thinking too much about the second or third line, or the fifteenth, you just have to write.  And get to the end, in about 10 or 15 minutes.  So I think they're going to get better, the more you do.  But here's #3... And where did I hide it?  Well, in a book of course!  Which book, which author, which reader would be worthy of #3?  Helen Garner's 'The Spare Room'.  Slipped between pages 55 and 56.  And the Stealth Poet slinks away...
